use Social Media to promote your content

You have written a great blog post. You are excited about it, but you are stumped on how to get people to read it. Social Media is a great way to get people to read your posts, but you need to make sure you are catching their attention otherwise you are just another poster in an ever changing newsfeed, and your blog post may not get the attention it deserves.

3 ways you can use Social Media to promote your content:

Social media to promote content1. Images Sell With Social Media

Social Media has become a hub for sharing visuals and eye-catching graphics. Think about what you like and share on your newsfeed for example? Images are quite possibly the first thing that grabs your attention and brings your eyes to read headlines, titles, captions or descriptions. Having strong visuals to go with your content to share on social media will definitely help grab your audience’s attention. Even if they do not click on the link to read your post, they may still engage for the sole purpose of liking the image you chose to upload.

2. Intriguing Headlines Drive Clicks On Social Media

An awesome visual sucked one of your followers into reading your headline to get an idea of what your content is about. Your headline needs to be strong. It needs to grab your follower’s attention and give them a glimpse into what the post is about. A headline needs to be relevant to what you are going to be talking about, but also short enough that it does not give away your entire story.  Keep a headline short, intriguing and relevant.

3. Posting Time Can Affect Results

Social media feeds have an almost constant stream of information, so it is likely that your posts may be getting lost in the ever changing information hub on your audience’s feeds. Try posting your content at different times each day- test different posting times out to figure out when you get the greatest engagement from your audience. Capitalize on this and share your content at peak times.

Eye-catching visuals, intriguing headlines and posting at optimal times on your social media channels are three great ways to utilize social media to promote your blog content and generate traffic to your blog.
